Lots of Showers!

Jenny and I made cakes for 3 showers this weekend. Here are the cakes we created. By the way, we are working on a new website for both of our cakes. Stay tuned!

Wedding Cake

I also did my first wedding cake on Friday. The cake is a 3-tiered square with 14", 10", and 6" tiers. It is iced in ivory buttercream with a black royal icing design.

Spring Cakes

I made a few Easter cakes for the NEA Humane Society's bake sale this weekend. I did two of the Easter egg cakes and a small present cake with fondant flower cutouts. The last cake is a birthday cake with fondant dots and bow.

Bridal Shower

I did this cake for a bridal shower this weekend. The design is done in buttercream with a fondant/gumpaste bow.

Crawfish Boil

My friend had a crawfish boil for her husband's birthday and wanted a cake to go with the theme. I had a lot of fun with this one. The crawfish, corn, potatoes, and lemon are marshmallow fondant. The "pot" is a 4-layer yellow cake with buttercream icing.

Birthday Present

Here is a cake I did for a 40th birthday party. I love the pink and black color scheme! This is an 8" 2-layer cake with a scroll design and fondant ribbon and bow. Pink and Black Birthday - $30 (serves 15-20)

Cakes by Jenny and Me

Last weekend Jenny and I worked together on cakes for an AdFed awards banquet. These were the first 3-tiered cakes we've done, but we were pleased with how they turned out. It's hard to tell from these pictures, but they were done in the AdFed colors, brown and a neon/lime green.

Another Square Shower Cake

I actually did two of these for baby showers this weekend. The other was pink and brown, identical to the one I did for a shower in January, which was in an earlier post. The square tiered cakes with the dots and stripes have been popular, and they work for almost any occasion. These are a lot of fun to create, too!
