Baby Girl Shower

This weekend I did a cake for a baby shower. I loved the pink and brown color scheme the hostess chose! This may be my favorite cake so far. It is a 2-tiered cake with a 10 inch 2-layer chocolate bottom tier and a 6 inch 2-layer white top tier. The cake is iced in buttercream with marshmallow fondant dots and stripes. The bow is also made of marshmallow fondant. 2-Tiered Pink & Brown Shower Cake - $60 as shown (serves 35-40)

New Year's Eve Cake

This is a cake I did for my friend for a New Year's Eve party. This was the first time I had tried a "topsy-turvy" cake as they're called, so it was a lot of fun!

New Year's Cake - $32 (serves 15-20)

Mini Anniversary Cake

I made this cake for my parents' anniversary last week. I wanted it to look like a mini wedding cake using their wedding colors from 33 years ago. This is a 4" on top of a 6", both one-layer cakes. It only serves 8-10, so there wasn't much left after we cut into it! Mini-cake - $18 (serves 8-10)

Presents, Presents, and more Presents!

Last week, Jenny and I had lots of orders for Christmas present cakes! It was busy, but we had a lot of fun working on these. Here are just a few of the ones we did together. These were all iced in buttercream with marshmallow fondant accents. The bows and ribbons were also made from fondant.

My first tiered cake

Last night, I tried my first tiered cake. It was also my first time to use marshmallow fondant (mmf), which I was able to make myself, and it tastes better than the regular rolled fondant. This is an 8 inch and 6 inch stacked (all white cake) with buttercream icing, then covered with marshmallow fondant. All accents (dots and stripes) are also mmf. This is a fun cake that would work for any occasion! It can be done in any color or pattern, or in any size! 2-tiered dots and stripes - $ 35 (serves 15-20, price includes fondant design, buttercream starts at $28)
Each tier is actually a 1-layer cake that has been cut in half and filled with icing. A 2-layer would be taller, would serve 25-30, and would be priced at $47 (includes fondant, buttercream starts at $40)
